Poem – Final

‘You must kill me,’

She said,

And meant it, too

‘Without me gone,

There’ll be none left of you.’

She had a point,

On that I conceded,

But killing her off

Seemed so awfully conceited

And so I made plans

As only I could,

To escape from the bunker

And wallow in mud
